Its Waaaaagh Time! |

Thats right folks! Its time to Waaaagh! Warhammer Online is kicking off this week, with all the preorders getting in today! Now us being the sword wielding, axe toting, lighting people on fire just for fun little psychotic we are, The Red Knights are heading into WAR full swing.
We will be playing the game for the Armies of Destruction, since being the "bad guys" is alot more fun then the "good guys". However, the name Red Knights doesn't fit well being the "bad guys". So for this game we have adopted the name
For those playing the game we will be setting up house on the Wolfenburg server. For those not playing the game, WHY THE FUCK AREN'T YOU PLAYING THE GAME?! Even BAS is getting in on this! To anyone wishing to join us in our quest to burn the humans, eat the dwarves, and steal the elves women please visit the forums. Look under the Warhammer Online section once there and read the rules. If the rules are acceptable, please apply.
And remember! The RK contest for free prizes is still going on, so keep working guys. November is approaching fast!

Well my lovely friends, time for a big update. As some of you may know and some of you may not know, this year marks the 5th Anniversary of the Red Knights. Needless to say, this means alot to me. November 30th, 2003 marked the ending of a great clan, Rabidd Saints, and the birth of what you see before you. I take pride in this clan and what we have done over the years since it was formed, even though it might not seem like much. In this time we have had our ups and downs with games, the lack of them and the random swapping around sometimes. We have had members come and go, we have had people stick around forever, and we have mourned the passing of one. Its been 5 years of good times with friends and good times in the games we love.
5 years guys and gals, thats a long time in the game world. Here's to the next 5! 
Now since this is a milestone for us, its time to have some fun with it. Time to earn some FREE STUFF! Now I know you are thinking "Free stuff, Hippie? Please tell us more." Well ok then since I like you. There will be 5 contest from now until Nov. 29, 2008. There will be 2 "big" ones and 3 "small" ones, the small ones being spread out through out the year. The 2 big ones are going to take time to do so the prizes for those will be bigger and more shiney. For all the detailed info on these contests please click here
Now its time for the announcing of the Stores. Thats right I said stores! For all us RK people, just for fun, you now can have your own RK Beer Stien!!  There are other things, but the Beer Stein is the more important one! We have 2 stores now open where you can buy some clan merchandise just so people will know "Hey that guy is a Red Knight" even though they probably have no idea what that is  For you old skool people there is a Rabidd Saints store which the same type of toys just geared toward the old skool-ness that was the Rabidd Saints!

Now one to the news. Call of Duty 4 is still going strong around here, which is a good thing. All "offical" gamenights are on Saturday and Sunday, but we seem to be playing every night of the week for a few hours these days. Check the CoD4 boards for all updates on things, and if you don't have the game yet GET IT!! If you do have it and haven't been playing, What the hell is wrong with you?!
Hitman has taken on being the Team leader for Firearms:Source, which means he needs test monkeys. Rabidd Saints played Firearms for Half Life 1 years ago with great success, so we are looking forward to the new version like you woundn't beleive. If you are interested in helping test or contribute in another way to Firearms:Source contact Hitman.

Well been a while since we updated the news, so here some random rambling from the local Hippie.
First off, Call of Duty 4. Good god, if it doesn't get game of the year someone paid off ALOT of people. The single player is short but very satisfying, very story driven and the graphics are incredible. Multiplayer, Hot damn I love you Infinity Ward. TDM, 6 game modes and 4 game types that work on all the multiplayer maps, a level up system like BF2 had but less lame, a built in challenge system so you have things you can try to accomplish besides winning, and ALOT of weapons and toys for them. I'm going to be on this one myself for a long long while If you haven't picked it up and are on the fence about it, here is a gameplay video that a player made of a single Domination round from Multiplayer. Should give you an idea of what its like.
If that doesn't get you going there are other games we are running around in. Team Fortress 2 is still high up on some of our lists. Valve has some new achievements coming out soon that will at least give you something crazy to shoot for, and the SDK is updated so custom content for TF2 (and the other Orange Box games for that matter) should be flowing freely soon.
And that brings us to one of my favorite games of the year, Unreal Tournament 3. Woot! Awesome graphics, Big Beefy weapons, Big hulking Vehicles and LAZORBEAMS! PEW PEW!! Its the same old thing just done bigger and better, and it works so well. Deathmatch, TDM, CTF, Vehicle CTF, and Warfare are the game modes so there is a little something for everyone to enjoy this time out. If you are a fan of the series or just want a simple adrenaline rush of a game UT3 is your best bet. (If you system can handle it)
In clan news, the Calendar has been updated for the Month so be sure to check and see whats coming up soon. Keep in mind all those games on the days are not set in stone. If people show up for a TF2 night and decide on CoD4 instead thats fine and so on. Those nights are just to try and shoot for if you wanna play a lil somethin' somethin'. Moving on, Hitman and the rest of the dev team for Firearms Source are hard at work on making a quality mod for everyone. In case no one read the Clan History, Firearms for Half Life 1 is really were we got our start in. So a few of us from those days are eagerly looking forward to this HL2 mod. Hitman has requested that anyone in the Clan itself with Counter Strike Source please sign up for the Alpha to help build on the game. If you don't have Counter Strike Source you can buy it in stores or over STEAM, and if you do have it sign up at the FAS message boards, read this thread for instructions.

The game has under gone SEVERAL changes since we have been away, ranging from new weapons to vehicles, and we have found the game to be incredibly fun for us again. There is a thread is the Planetside Forums that explains everything that has happened in the game over the years, so to catch up please give it a look.

Hannibal and Raynur have started looking into the game as well, so if they like it we will have 2 more to the ranks! We will be trying to organize Weekly plans again like we use to, once we figure out the best times for people to play. Keep checking the forums and Calendar for updates on future plans/events, and see you all on the battlefield!
